Bring Rising Minds to your school

Give your child and students in their class the tools to support their wellbeing.

Hello and welcome to the Parent referral page!

Starting secondary school is a big transition. Young people are navigating new friendships, greater independence, changing expectations and all the ups and downs that come with growing up.

Rising Minds is A Lust for Life’s free wellbeing programme for secondary schools, designed to give young people practical tools and skills to support their mental health and wellbeing.

The 10 week teacher led programme helps young people build their understanding of wellbeing, develop positive habits and learn skills they can use both in and outside the classroom.

What do young people get from Rising Minds?

  • Develop practical skills to support their mental health and wellbeing
  • Build self-awareness and emotional skills
  • Understand the importance of looking after their wellbeing
  • Develop healthy habits and positive coping strategies
  • Explore topics that are relevant to their lives and experiences
  • Build skills they can carry with them throughout secondary school and beyond

Why might your school be interested?

Rising Minds is designed to be straightforward for schools to introduce and deliver.

It’s free for schools and is designed to fit within the school day and support existing wellbeing provision.

A Lust for Life already has a successful primary school programme running, which has been received by over 57% of primary schools since 2020- so this programme builds on that success.

Teachers can also access teacher training, helping teachers feel confident delivering the programme.

The programme is curriculum-aligned and evidence-informed, and has been successfully received in the pilot and also independently evaluated by researchers at South East Technological University.
